The new Tour de Fat de Belgique is scheduled for August 28 in Fort Collins
Tour of Fat will return to Fort Collins in 2021 on August 28, after a year off due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Fort Collins-based New Belgium Brewing will bring back the annual parade of bicycles bursting with color and creativity that will end with a party at the brewery.
The parade, made up of costumed cyclists on bicycles and, often, other innovative pedal gear, will begin at 10 a.m. at Mountain Avenue and Sherwood Street. The show will be fully visible on its trip to the Old Town before concluding in New Belgium, where the party will last all evening.

“Attendees can expect a return to the classic entertainment and activations they’ve come to know and love,” a press release promised Friday. The event typically includes entertainment, music, games, and New Belgium beer.
But none of those details were released on Friday, although more information is expected in August.
The Tour de Fat started in 1999 and is a “celebration of community through bikes and beer”, according to New Belgium. The event benefits nonprofits and local cycle paths and supports cycling education and advocacy.
