Shaw will honor 10 organizations in its support program in 2022[HUMAN]Leadership Capacity® Recognition Program

Shaw’s annual support[HUMAN]The Leadership Capabilities Recognition Program features organizations that share its commitment to putting people at the heart of sustainability.

Shaw Industries Group Inc. (Shaw) has announced the list of 10 organizations it will feature in its third annual endorsement[HUMAN]leadership capacity® recognition program. Each of the organizations illustrated their commitment to putting people at the heart of their sustainability efforts.

“Shaw’s support[HUMAN]The ability® Leadership Recognition Program aims to shine a light on a wide range of organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to the well-being of people and the planet,” said Kellie Ballew, Vice President of Sustainability worldwide at Shaw. “Each is a leader in their own right and offers something we can all learn from in order to collectively create a better future and a better world.”

As part of this recognition program, Shaw will feature these 10 organizations in a series of blogs on throughout the year to showcase their efforts and inspire others to find new ways to invest in health and the well-being of the planet and its people.

The organization developed the Architecture & Design Materials Pledge to inspire change in the way architects and designers assess the products and finishes they specify on a daily basis. The A&D Materials Pledge defines a holistic view of truly sustainable building materials and encourages architects and designers to choose materials that support human health, ecosystem health, climate health, social health, and equity in a circular economy.

Appalachian Botanical Co. ( manufactures premium body care, aromatherapy, culinary and household products using the lavender it grows and the honey it harvests from land reclaimed from coal mines. The West Virginia-based company hires area residents who often face significant barriers to employment.
