McGeary as Head of Government and Community Relations at UCM – Merced County Times
Michael McGeary has been appointed executive director of government and community relations for the University of California, Merced, after an extensive research process. He took up his new duties on August 23.
McGeary was most recently head of global public policy for Upwork, a global labor market based in San Francisco, Calif., Engaging with state and federal regulators on policy initiatives related to the future of work.
A graduate of Tufts University with a BA in Political Science, he is a veteran of the Barack Obama and Howard Dean campaigns. He sits on the Council of Business Sponsors of the Central Valley Community Foundation and the Board of Directors of Allied for Startups in Belgium.

McGeary resides in Clovis, California with his family.
