Celebrate Shelton Hosts Fall Concert October 9

SHELTON – A local group continues to focus on the downtown core of the city.

Celebrate Shelton is hosting their Downtown Sounds: Fall Edition concert series on October 9 at Veterans Memorial Park. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., with musical performances by The Alpaca Gnomes, Tash Neal from The London Souls, and Lee-Ann Lovelace and Tracy Jo starting at 1 p.m. The rainy date is October 10th.

Over 1,000 people attended the three-week Downtown Sounds concert series each Friday that took place last summer.

“Does it feel good to be together again?” We were thrilled to be able to get together, enjoy the live music and sincerely appreciate the support of our community, ”said Nicole Heriot-Mikula, Co-Founder of Celebrate Shelton.

“Due to the popularity of the summer concert series and our desire to continue to make our downtown area a destination for families, we wanted to immediately plan a concert for the fall edition,” added Jimmy Tickey, co-founder of Celebrate Shelton.

Celebrate Shelton co-founder Michael Skrtic said the event will also feature local food trucks, a beer garden sponsored by New Belgium Brewing Company, handmade craft vendors and activities for children.

Featured food trucks will be Szabo’s Seafood, Liquid Lunch, The Melting Truck, The Cinnabomb Mini Donut Factory and Jim’s Ice Cream Truck.

The concerts are free. There is a suggested donation of $ 10 to support the series’ efforts in the community. Sponsors are invited to join the series by contacting the event email address at [email protected]
